Just last week I was the victim of theft. The theft was of funds from my personal baking account.
I was going about my business when I got a call from the fraud department alerting me  of possible fraudulent charges from my account. The agent asked me several questions about strange spending at UPS store for a crazy amount ( over $300.00 ) and a few other one just within minutes of each other .
It was indeed not my spending, so I was asked to come in to file a dispute.
Luckily my bank  acted quickly and the put my funds back in two days.
The agent at the bank told me to go out  immediately and purchase a RFID wallet , to prevent my card numbers being scanned through my purse. I was told that a casual shopping trip to your local grocery or other store scammers are out waiting to grab your info . **I was told that banks will no longer due reimbursements after Dec. 31st.
I went Belk Dept. store to get my RFID wallet .The wallets  range in style and price $24.00 - $44.00 ,but it's worth the extra funds to protect your funds.
My friend bought this at Walmart for only $10.00 .

RFID (radio frequency identification) is a technology that incorporates the use of electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency (RF) portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to uniquely identify an object, animal, or person.

How People Steal Your card Info.
Payment methods enabled with near-field communication (NFC) or RFID work with payment terminals outfitted with proximity readers, meaning these cards have the ability to communicate with devices without touching them. Still, there are often measures in place to secure contactless payment, and a skimming device would have to be very close to the card to strip it of its data.
