Monday, September 5, 2016

On Saturday Sept 3rd. Thrifting Central Ga. & J and J 's Thrift Pop Up Shop held a Pop Up Sale to raise funds and raise awareness to the fact that September is Leukemia Awareness Month**

Every 3 minutes someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
Despite progress, more than a third of blood cancer patients still do not survive five years after their diagnosis. Every 9 minutes someone in the U.S. dies of a blood cancer. My sister Kelley was diagnosed in 2014, she battled AML and won, she is in remission as of May  2016 .I served as her  perfect match stem cell donor to help  her fight the disease.  This is a cause close to my heart. Kelley came down from Hiram Ga. on Saturday to support my J & J’s Thrift Pop UP Shop & landed an interview on 13WMAZ to help get the word out about Leukemia Awareness see what she had to say  http://www.13wmaz.com/life/macon-pop-up-thrift-shop-benefits-cancer-research/313329165

Thrifting Central Ga. and J & J’s Thrift Pop Up Shop donated because the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is currently funding almost 300 research grants around the world. Last year the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Resource Information Center conducted 6,000 clinical trials for blood cancer patients & Finally the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has invested more than 1 billion dollars in research to advance cancer treatment and cure. Those are all reasons you too should donate today at http://www.lls.org/blood-cancer-awareness-month
